Former Nation TV sports news anchor Mustafa Idd has joined the Bahari parliamentary seat on ODM-K ticket. Announcing his candidature, Idd unveiled his campaign agenda for the people of Bahari whom he said have been lagging behind in development.
For the past three years, Idd has been using his contacts to initiate development projects in the area including the famous annual Mustafa Challenge Cup. He is also the brainchild behind the formation of Mijikenda Girl Child Organization, a Non-Governmental organization addressing the problems of girl child education, poverty eradication and early marriages among the Mijikenda girls.
He challenged Bahari Mp Joe khamisi to show what he has done to Bahari people. Khamisi who alst year resigned from LDP is at pains explaining to the electorate his political stand as he is said have been behind the formation of a new party. Contrary to press reports that Idd was sacked, a letter in our possession shows that he actually resigned to embark on his political career.
