Former Kibwezi MP, Kalembe Ndile will be running for the vacant Embakasi parliamentary seat on The Independent Party (TIP) ticket. The seat has been declared vacant by Kenneth Marende, the house speaker. The Electoral Commission of Kenya is expected to announce the by election date any time now. Kalembe Ndile had expressed interest in the house speaker seat but withdrew at the last minute.
